To be approved as a Halfway National Little League volunteer, please complete the following steps:
PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE STARTING!
1. complete the abuse awareness training. This is a yearly requirement and you must upload a current certificate of completion with your volunteer application in sports connect. It only takes a few minutes!

*You will need to create an account if you don't have one! select role (coach, manager, approved volunteer) and Halfway National.
2. Go to our REGISTRATION information tab and select VOLUNTEER opportunities and follow the directions (it is easier if you use your players account because you will be associate with your players allowing us to add you to their team easily)
3. You will be sent the background check application once you upload the required documents**. We will check the applications several times each week and send them out as quickly as possible. CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU DON"T RECEIVE ANYTHING and let us know if more than a few days passes and you haven't received anything!
4. Complete the background check process by responding to the JDP email to approve your volunteer application.
After the background check is complete, and nothing of concern is found, your name will be added to the verified volunteer list found in the "volunteer hub" on our website. The list is dated with the last update day. Please do not serve in a volunteer capacity until your name appears as verified.
** required documents are drivers license and abuse awareness training certificate- please be aware that we are not able to send you STEP 3 if BOTH of these documents are not uploaded- (and not because we don't want to the system will not allow it)

IF YOU ARE APPLYING AS A JR. VOLUNTEER (ages 13-17 ONLY) and do not have a drivers license- it will not allow you to complete the application until you upload something as the drivers license- please either upload the abuse awareness training certificate training in BOTH spots or if you have a school ID or a state issued ID card you may put it in that place. THIS WILL BE THE END OF THE PROCESS FOR YOU UNTIL YOU TURN 18 as we are unable to process a background check on you. ONCE we verify you as a JR.VOLUNTEER your name will appear of the approved JR. Volunteer list.
